Abstract (EN)
Our proverbs, in terms of strongly representing the rules of the Turkish language, contribute to illuminating many grammatical issues. In terms of adjectival verbs, our proverbs present the most beautiful and most meaningful examples of the Turkish language. For this reason, we decided to examine the subject of adjectival verbs functionally from the adjectival verbs in our proverbs. We have included adjectival verbs and compiled proverbs in our study by reference. Since our study is function-oriented in the context of the text, examples of adjectival verbs are given in the sentence in which they are available. In this way, the tasks given by the adjectival verbs to the verb have been determined by considering all the elements they are related to in the sentence. The study consists of the sections such as Introduction, Adjectival Verb Category, Adjectival Verb Category in Proverbs, and Conclusion. In the introduction, the importance, subject, purpose and method of the study are explained under separate headings and a brief information about proverbs is given. In the category of the adjectival verb category, after the opinions of the researchers who focused on the subject of the adjective verb were summarized, our views on this subject were also expressed. In the third chapter, the adjectival verb functions in our proverbs and the forms corresponding to them are classified. In the conclusion part, a general evaluation has been made about the adjective verb functions and forms that we have identified in our proverbs.
