Abstract (EN)

According to TDK, proverb is defined as an admonitory saying, saying, parable, assertion, proverb, which has been said based on long experiments and observations and has become public knowledge. An idiom is defined in TDK's online dictionary as a formulaic phrase or expression that usually has a unique meaning, more or less separate from its real meaning. Proverbs and idioms are an important element and carrier of culture. Teaching a language also means teaching the culture of that language. Proverbs and idioms are important because they have been carriers of cultural elements belonging to that society for centuries and constitute the basic elements of culture. When the studies were examined, the Turkish language teaching set prepared by Yunus Emre Institute, as similar ones, was examined in the context of cultural transfer and the general cultural elements were discussed. In this study, Yunus Emre Institute Yedi Iklim B1-B2 level Turkish teaching set and MEB Primary School 3rd Grade Turkish Textbooks will be examined in the context of proverbs and idioms, and the workbooks and listening texts in the CDs in the examined sources will also be discussed. In this research, Turkish teaching resources were examined in the context of proverbs and idioms, which are culture carriers and symbols.
