Abstract (EN)

Carbonmonoxide intoxication is one of the most fatal intoxication. CO is colorless, odereless, tasteless and nonirritan gas. CO intoxication effects a lot of organs due to hypoxia which causes many different symtoms. Sings and symtoms due to CO intoxication may appear in early periots or after weeks. Major symptoms are neuropsychiatric and cardiovasculer ones. İn cardiovasculer system ischemia in heart, myocard infarction, arythmia and cardiac arrest may occur. Water heaters, barbeques and stoves without chimney used in indoor spaces with inadequate ventilation leads to CO intoxication and increases the admitance to emergency room servis in our country. Aim: To find out demographic, clinic, laboratory features and effect on cardiovasculer system and to figure out signs result in severe prognosis in patients admitted to Atatürk University Medical Faculty Hospital with carbonmonoxide intoxication. Conculosion : The present study in wolves 1093 patiens admitted to Atatürk University emergency room servis beetween 01.01.2013-12.31.2016. Mean age of patients was 36,8 ± 17,2 years. 57,4% of patients were female and 42,6% were male. Patients (67.9%) were admitted to emergency room service mostly because of gas leaked from stove. Most frequent compliance of patients were headache(64.1%), nausea (41.2%). Mean COHb level of patients were (%)12.2 ± 10.6. On ECG findings of patients normal sinus rythm (97,8%) and t negativity (23,2%) were shown. High levels of Troponine-I were (>0.04 ng/ml) detected 13,3% of patients. High levels of Troponine-I was correlated with age, WBC, and lactate distirubition (p<0.05). 46.7% of all patients and 59,7% of patients who were followed up in clinic were given HBOT. Troponine-I distirubition were significantly important interms of statistics depends on HBOT ( p<0.05).
