Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACTDecreased serum bilirubin levels have been associated with coronary artery disease. It isbelived bilirubin acts as antioxidant preventing oxidized LDL formation and subsequentatherosclerosis. We determined serum oxidized LDL and bilirubin levels of the coronary artery diseasepatients who were diagnosed angiographycally. We separeted patients into three groups which were one coronary artery obstruction, twocoronary artery obstruction and no coronary artery obstruction (N artery group). All of thethree were diagnosed angiographycally. We couldn?t find direct inverse relation between the bilirubin and oxidized LDL levels of thethree groups , but we have found significant differences between oxidized LDL levels of theone , two obstruction patients and N artery obstruction patients. Keywords: Atherosclerosis, oxide LDL, bilirubin.xii
