Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, waste bones were brought into the form of bone powder and the effect of the obtained material on soil stability was investigated. The effectiveness of the additive was evaluated on river sand samples taken from Çakıt river in Çukurova region. In the first stages, studies were carried out to define the properties of the soil sample. Afterwards, the experiments were continued with the addition of bone powder at 3, 6, 9 and 12%. Standard proctor tests were carried out only for river sand and river sand samples with different additive contents and optimum water contents were obtained. These values were also used in the shear box and CBR experiments. In addition, a comparative study was conducted on the method of adding additives to the samples and their values were presented. As a result, it is seen that the bone powder additive has a positive effect on the samples when both shear strength and CBR values are examined. In addition, bone powder will show pozzolanic properties due to its chemical structure. As a result, it is estimated that the carrying capacity will increase over time.
