Özet (EN)
Among the ground rehabilitation methods, the practice of stone column applications is preferred gradually widely. Within the scope of this thesis, a post-graduate thesis study has been carried out in Geotechnic Laboratory of Civil Engineering Department of Aksaray University in order to develop a cheaper, more efficient, environment-friendly and recycling-based manufacturing type. In recent decade, many studies have been carried out on increasing the load-bearing capacities of stone columns and manufacturing by wrapping with geotextile material. The main objective of this study is to utilize the waste tires as a wrapping element in constructing the stone columns. The main difference and major contribution of this thesis in terms of implementation is that it shows the constructability of a unique stone column that has never been constructed in world before. During the thesis study, it has been experimentally shown that the stone columns wrapped with waste tires have reached high load-bearing capacities.
