Abstract (EN)
In this study, preliminary experiments have been carried out for membrane synthesis by using m-phenylenediamine (MPD), hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and polysulfone (PS). Membrane production was then achieved by using methyl cellulose instead of polysulfone. Taguchi Method, an optimization method for this production, has been applied to 4 levels 4 parameters total 16 experiments. Then, the prepared silica solution was passed through the produced membrane, and the filtering property of the membrane for different periods was examined. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Thermogravimetry-Differential Thermal Analysis (TG-DTA) were used for characterization. Shore A test was performed to determine the mechanical strength of the produced membranes. The amount of silica in the samples obtained as a result of the silica treatment was determined by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) analysis. As a result, it was seen that the membranes produced can be evaluated in the treatment of wastewater containing silica.
