Kuva-yı Milliye thought in Attilâ İlhan's novels

In this work, reflection of Kuva-yı Milliye thought on Attilâ İlhan's novels has been examined. Being leading figure among rare names who has political theory for his own in Turkish literature and history of thought İlhan put forward Kuva-yı Milliye thought for the first time at 1950's to get rid of political and social problems Turkey had. On the Kuva-yı Milliye thought based on Kemalism and aiming socialism, final target is anti-emperialist, anti-capitalist and fully independent Turkey which provides social and economic equality. Although Attilâ İlhan's literary and thinking personality has been researched from scientific perspective, in these researches it has been seen that İlhan's literary and intellectual works had not been examined under a holistic perspective and it had not been noted that he wrote his novels especially for a solution appropriate for Tur-key/Turkish people. This work is set to be fulfill this lack. Consisted of three main chapters, at the first chapter of this work under the title of "Attilâ İlhan's Life and Works" departing from İlhan's life story, while milestones of his thought has been explained, second chapter under the title of "Kuva-yı Milliye and Attilâ İlhan", historical definition of Kuva-yı Milliye and foundations of İlhan's Kuva-yı Milliye thought had been put forward. At third and last chapter of the work whose title is "Kuva-yı Milliye Thought in Attilâ İlhan's Novels" work of Kuva-yı Milliye thought in his novels had been dealt with.
