Some biological characteristics of predatory mite Typhlodromips enab EL-badry (Acarina:Phytoseiidae) on different food under laboratory conditions

Abstract (EN)
In this study, biological characteristics of predatory mite Typhlodromips enab Genn., Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks), Thrips tabaci Lindeman, Malephora crocea (Jaguin) polen and supplemental food (T. cinnabarinus, T. tabaci and polen)) under laboratory conditions (25+1 ºC, % 60+10 RH and 16:8 (L:D)). Egg developmental times of the Typ. enab females were 2.73, 2.82, 2.60, 2.79 and 2.63 days when T. cinnabarinus, P. latus, T. tabaci, M. crocea polen and supplemental food provided to the predator, respectively. Larval developmental times of the predatory mite was found to be 0.97, 1.04, 0.83, 1.04 and 0.87 days while protonymph and deutonymph developmental times were 2.20, 2.00, 2.03, 2.43 and 1.97 and 2.43, 2.43, 2.23, 2.68 and 2.16 days, respectively. Average adult life span of felame Typ. enab were 7.07, 6.93, 7.50, 5.50 and 7.50 days. The survival time of female was found to be 15.40, 15.21, 15.19, 14.44 and 15.13 days according to above given food order, respectively. Egg development times of the Typ. enab males were 2.80, 2.75, 2.60, 2.83 and 2.60 days when T. cinnabarinus, P. latus, T. tabaci, M. crocea polen and supplemental food provided to the predator, respectively. Larval developmental times of the male was 0.90, 1.00, 0.90, 1.08 and 0.90 days while protonymph and deutonymph development times were found to be 2.20, 2.08, 2.20, 2.42, 1.90 and 2.50, 2.33, 2.50, 2.75, 2.00 days, respectively. The sırvival rate of the male was 13.20, 14.33, 13.60, 14.41 and 14.20 days according to above given food order, respectively. Predatory mite T. enab nourished on honey-dew excreted by B. tabaci, however that subtract wasn?t enough to complete development of predator mites. Mated females laid the highest 4.33 eggs over entire lives when supplemental food was given as food to the predator.
