Eurasian Union and the feasibility of an alternative integration for Turkey

Starting after World War II, the integration movements gained momentum since 1960s. However; the actual development in terms of contributing world trade, emerged after 1980 due to the expansion and extension of economies of the countries and the raise of international competition. As to the reason of which economic integration lately demonstrates raise, is seen as the countries want to withstand the competition proviso getting challenging and their effort utilizing expanding-markets. Examining the integration movements in Turkey, European Union is accepted as the most successful sample. On the contrary, European Union's stalemate in itself and discontinuing relations with Turkey force Turkey to seek new integration and to approach the idea of Eurasian Union. As to examining the integration in all over the world; the policy the USA pursues with the aim of claiming the USA's global superiority brings the countries in the region closer, it create a need to establish an Eurasian Union whose economic and diplomatic fundamentals are powerful. In addition to these; the underground treasures, energy resources and production potential, investment-production opportunities and geopolitical position makes Eurasia region the center of the world economy. Changing international order entirely, emerging countries set the stage for debate of multi-polar world system. Within this framework; the countries as Russia, China, India, Iran have become the most examined-countries. This research hold a discussion on initially economic integration term, it's emerging reasons and achievement conditions. Besides, the research reveals the formation process of Eurasian Union, it's current condition and economic potentials and also it searches an alternative integration feasibility for Turkey.
