European Union – Azerbaijan relations

Azerbaijan, which has made great progress in both the political and economic sectors since its independence in 1991, continues to increase its relations with the countries of the world day by day. Azerbaijan, which has close trade and political relations with its neighboring countries, has also tightened its relations with the EU and EU countries since the end of the 20th century. This study aims to investigate the details of Azerbaijan and EU relations based on the partnerships and agreements made by Azerbaijan with the EU and some EU programs in which Azerbaijan is also included. By examining the place of Azerbaijan in the EU energy sector and the details of the agreements made in this direction, it has been researched how these globally important projects affect the relations between the countries. The contribution of the EU to Azerbaijan in economic and trade relations, as well as in human rights and other social issues has been researched and concluded.
