Abstract (EN)
This study, has analyzed the development of the Regional Development Agencies in the European Union and Turkey under two main chapters. In the light of the regional development literature and the New Regionalism thought, the processes that structure the Regional Policy and the Agencies in the European Union have been attempted to illustrate. Wide presence of the Agencies in the Union has been emphasized. In the study it has specifically been questioned being new tools if the Development Agencies were capable of helping diminish Turkey?s regional development disparities. In the presence of the arguments have been put it was stated that the Development Agencies in Turkey could serve to diminish inside regional and inter-regional development disparities.Key Words:1.
