Özet (EN)

The European Union is made up of countries with very different social and economic and cultural backgrounds. These differences, which the countries have, are felt in the regional sense as well as in the national sense. The EU has been sensitive to regional development disparities as much as the day-to-day history and has produced very important policies. These policies, created on the EU side, are increasing day by day in this growing and growing structure. The funds created to make the country's local actors, development agencies and policies alive are a crucial part of the history of politics in relation to regional development. Recognizing the importance of reducing the disparities in regional development so that a union can be realized in a real sense, the EU is constantly introducing new policies in this regard. In this light of all these issues we are talking about, it is examined whether or not organizations such as the EU have a lifting effect on the developmental differences between the regions of the countries. For this purpose, the pre- and post-EU membership status of the UK and Spain, which have developed above the European average, will be examined and the funds they have received after membership will be investigated and their impact on the regional development of countries will be investigated for the next period.
