Turkey's role in the European Union of energy security: TANAP and Turkish Stream

In this study, the energy and security of energy supply has been explained by leaning on the exact definition but literally made location in the European Union's security of energy supply in Turkey's position during energy supply projects in which which its importance. Along with the increasing energy requirement, all the world states are competing with each other to end this requirement. Energy has a very general meaning and occupies a wide range of literature. Therefore, it has been tried to explain the energy supply and security through natural gas and oil, which is a more special issue and whose importance is increasing due to the demand in the world. Due to its geographical position between Asia and Europe in bridging Turkey, approximately 70% of energy resources in the world which holds the majority than the Caspian region and the proximity to the Middle East because although it may not have their own energy source in terms of being adjacent to these resources very it is advantageous. Turkey, with oil and gas pipelines passing through the European Union is an energy transmission that transfers power base. This geostrategic location that you want to return the favor and which imports a large portion of Turkey's natural gas needs security of supply policies and projects that have been examined in the case studies. In this context, Turkey is located in important projects for transporting natural gas in European countries to reduce gas dependence on Russia and the Caspian region. Transportation of Caspian gas to EU and Turkey made to meet the natural gas needs of TANAP project and then created the Turkish Stream Project has taken an important state. In this study, we tried to explain that the safest way to transport in ensuring energy security in Turkey's EU. In order to defend these researches and ideas, statistical data, concrete information and academic research were used in the study.
