Abstract (EN)

Economic performance can be defined as the success rate of a country in achieving its goals. This study aims to compare the performance of European Union member countries according to their economic and financial indicators by ranking them over the years. The study uses annual data from the 2016-2020 period, consisting of current account balance, inflation, gross domestic product, capital adequacy ratios of banks in the countries, portfolio investments, market size of traded companies, total value of shares traded, and real effective exchange rate data. Data obtained from the World Statistics database was used for the study. The weights of the criteria were determined using the entropy method, and the economic performance of the countries was analyzed and ranked according to their economic performance using the COPRAS method.
