Abstract (EN)
In this research, some countries England, Greece and Bulgaria which countries are the membersof European Union physical education and sport teacher education programmes examined.Comparative education, two or more educational system?s which are in different cultures andcountries helps to understand likeness or differences, explain similar facts and for educatingpeople suggest benefial ways. In this research, though European Union?s educational policyTurkey?s educational policy has been evaluated.Turkey has a common PE teacher training program. But, England, Greece and Bulgaria has notcommon programme so Loughborough University from England, Thrace DemocritusUniversity from Greece, National Sport Academy from Bulgaria have been selected and madeassessment. Combing method has been used and available situation has been definite.In this research, primarily European Union, education, physical education and sportconceptions have been defined. Educational systems and PE teacher training programs ofEngland (Loughborough University), Greece (Thrace Democritus University), Bulgaria(National Sport Academy) and Turkey have been examined.In the research some likeness and differences have been detected between Turkey andEngland, Greece and Bulgaria PE teacher training programs. Educational times are 4 years ineach of theme. Total credit to graduate from undergraduate program; 360 credits inLoughborough University, 240 credits in Thrace Democritus University, 240 credits in NSAand 158 credits in Turkey. In Turkey, compulsory lessons comprise %87,3 of the program; inThrace Democritus University %79,2; in Loughborough University %36,1. There is a likenessbetween Turkey and Thrace Democritus University. In Turkey, elective lessons comprise inthe program %12,7; in Loughborough University %63,9; in Thrace Democritus University%20,8; in NSA %46,3.
