The name of this thesis is the comparison of the European contemporary art platform and The contemporary art platform of The Turkey. The main purpose of this research is to expose what was done in our country against what was done in Europe on art, what kind of efforts were endeavoured for art; by examinig European contemporary art platform and Turkey contemporary art platform from the same perspective. It is to expose what people do to try to improve and change our art and that what kind of reasult was reached as a reasult of the reasearches which were done; while a steady and continuous development change is recorded in European art of painting. On the other hand, it is to provide suggestions for what we can do and provide research about this subject in order to reach more contemporary and different places in our art of painting. As a method of doing research on the subject; Books, journals, articles, written documents, published theses have been reached through the literature search technique. The data and interpretations obtained from these sources were followed by a process to reflect the reality and to express the overall situation. After the data obtained by qualitative research technique are arranged in accordance with the subject; It is seen that new movements emerged as a result of the activities of the European painting art in order to prevent the classical painting of the artists. Effective artists who represent every new current are born. In the modern art period which exists in Europe; it has been researched what was done in our country for the art and as a result of these researches it is exposed what our artists have done to improve and change the art in Turkey. Afterwards, art activities of both geographies and art works, it is synthesized from the same perspective by artists. Through this synthesis, it is revealed that what the two geographies have done in the name of the art in the same period, what activities they are in and how they are taken as a result. In the light of the data, we try to clarify where we are in the art of painting.
