Abstract (EN)

History of civilization is full of wars because of religion differences. These wars and slaughter which are maden because of religion proved the necessity that freedom of religion and belief deserves a special protection by international human rights law. İn this sense, one of the most important pace is acceptance of European Convention on Human Rights; forasmuch Convention establishes a judiciary mechanism for individuals who claim that his/her rights and freedoms, granted by the Convention, were violated by one of the contracting states. European Convention on Human Rights art.9, guaranty both of the two main aspects of freedom of religion and belief under the title of ?Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion?. European Convention on Human Rights, attributed an absolute guaranty to the inner sphere of freedom of religion and belief (forum internum); however the external sphere of freedom of religion and belief (forum externum) subject to limitations.
