Abstract (EN)
As a result of the World War 1,while some empires were disintegrated, many national state has emerged. Political and social structures that emerged from disintegrated empires; were earned the state identity and some states that have completed this process has acquired the consciousness of being nation. In this context, at Gallipoli War that changed the course of World War 1, many states political structure were changed and because of it's results new process has started at the structural character of states. At the Australian history Gallipoli War and its results have special importance. It effects Australia in process of becoming a nation and in the formation of national identity. Because of this importance, the role of Gallipoli War in the formation of the consciousness of the Ausralian nation, is identified as the main theme of the thesis. Firstly, in the scope of the thesis, the discovered of the continent of Australia by the European explorers and colonization of Australia by The British Empire are adressed in the historical process. Afterwards, the process of becoming federation type of state of the unification of Australian states was evaluated in terms of political and social. Moreover how Australia geopology effects on Australia's administrative, military, political and cultural structure were explored in the context of international relations. Besides how great powers prepared the World War 1 were evaluated in the global panaroma and draw attention to Australia's entry into the war, Gallipoli, under the influence of the dominant Great Britain and it's consequences. Finally, in the formation of Australian national identity and consciousness; intellectual infrastructure, national symbols and national figures were discused within the context of the Anzac terminology. The present Australian nation-building process were analysed in the context of the role of the Gallipoli War and in this context the consiousness of the Australian nation occured with the end of the war in Gallipoli, was emhasized.
