Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the linguistic features of a manuscript belonging to the Old Anatolian Turkish period, specifically the codex numbered Cod. A.F. 469, preserved in the Manuscripts Collection of the Austrian National Library. The codex includes religious didactic texts in the form of ilmihal (catechism), primarily focusing on the principles of Islamic worship such as prayer, fasting, ablution, and tayammum. These texts are written in a clear and accessible language intended to instruct the general public, and they reflect the linguistic characteristics of the late Old Anatolian Turkish period. In this thesis, selected sections from the manuscript have been analyzed in terms of orthography, phonology, and morphology. The analysis aims to reveal the manuscript's linguistic value in the context of Turkish language history, as well as to evaluate how Old Anatolian Turkish was employed in religious texts. The study consists of four main sections: introduction, analysis, transliteration, and index. Keywords: Old Anatolian Turkish, Ilmihal, linguistic analysis, manuscript
