Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine the changes experienced in the function of foot biomechanics of healthy male and female individuals and to investigate the effect of the identified causes on the level of kinesiophobia. 100 people Decently aged between 20 and 45 years, 45 healthy women and 55 men participated in the study. The inclusion criteria were determined and the demographic information was recorded after the approval of the eligible persons was obtained for participation. The biomechanical characteristics of the foot (subtalar joint angle (STA), navicular fall test (NDT), metatarsal width (MG), Hallux valgus angle (HVA), Manchester Scale (MS)) examined in the study were evaluated together with foot function (American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle total score (AOFAS), Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale (TKO)) to determine the occurrence of kinesiophobia. The measurement data of the male and female participants were compared both internally and separately. According to the results obtained, while a significant difference was found between the parameters of foot biomechanics (STA, MG, MS, HVA) related to the weighted right and left feet of male and female participants (p<0,05), it was found that there was no significant difference in the amounts of ND obtained from the NDT test (p>0.05). When the AOFAS and TCO total scores of the participants were examined to determine the biomechanical function of the feet and to evaluate the levels of kinesiophobia related to it, it was; While a strong negative relationship was obtained with all parameters except MG (STA, ND and HVA) and the AOFAS total score, it was found that there was no significant relationship between MG levels (p>0 Dec, 05). Similarly, it was found that there was a positively strong relationship between the total score obtained within the scope of the TCO and the biomechanical properties of the foot (STA, ND and HVA) (p<0.05), but no significant relationship between MG and Dec (p>0.05). As a result, it has been observed that biomechanical findings of the foot and ankle play an active role in the evaluations against the risk of foot and ankle injury, and the changes that occur here affect the functional status of the foot associated with pain. At the same time, it was found that the increase in the total score related to functional status was influenced by the level of kinesiophobia and there was a negative and significant correlation between them (p<0,05). For this reason, it can be said that biomechanical assessments performed before the injury status has yet to occur in the participants will significantly reduce the risk and frequency of injury, but will positively improve the performance of people.
