Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted at the experimental field of the Adnan Menderes University Agricultural Faculty Research Farm for the bread wheat growing period of 2012-2013 on the base of completely randomized block design experiment. Bread wheat varieties Sagittario, Kaşifbey-95, Cumhuriyet-75, Osmaniye and Anapo were used in the experiment. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of three different zinc application times on yield, yield components (plant height, number of kernels per ear, 1000 grain weight, number of ears per square meter) and some quality parameters (protein, starch and crude fibre contents) of five different wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties. Zinc applications at heading and at the beginning of the grain filling period have significantly positive effects on yield and protein content. However, these effects were lower in yield components and the other quality parameters.
