Abstract (EN)
BRSV infection was investigated in randomly selected blood serum samples collected from unvaccinated dairy cattle herds in the Aydin province and its surroundings. On average, 98.6% seropositivity against the BRSV infections was detected in enterprises across Aydin and seropositivity rates ranging between 97.1% and 100% were detected in the enterprises. In addition, effects of some of the risk factors that can be significant for infectious diseases (herd size, age, gender, breed, pregnancy, type of enterprise, time in pasture, entrance time to the barn, annual labor turnover, arrival of new animals) were also investigated and the BRSV infections was found at very high rates independent of all of these risk factors.
