Özet (EN)

Exports are actualized in a more competitive environment as the barriers in front of market access in world markets are removed. While export products' uniqueness arise as an important feature, exports are not only dependent on country's own conditions but also became highly dependent on other conditions in the world markets. This fact motivates countries to be more competitive, in other words to gain competitive power, in external markets. In this study, factors that affect the changes in Turkey's exports of three geographical indications which are Aydın figs, Egean Sultani grape and Giresun hazelnuts are investigated. By using the shift-share analysis the impacts of four factors namely; global, substitution, geography and performance effects are analyzed. Product and country based impact are investigated and compared with respect to common and different characteristics. Keywords: Aydın Figs, Egean Sultani Grape, Giresun Hazelnut, Shift-share, Decomposition Analysis, Competitive Power
