Abstract (EN)

The subject of this study is the documentation of Turkish-Islamic coins in the coin collection of Aydın Özkan, a collector registered in the Ankara Ethnography Museum. Aydın Özkan's collection includes 1201 coins, consisting of Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Sassanid, Ottoman, Anatolian Seljuk, Artuqids of Mardin, Abbasid, Ayyubid, Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, Principality of Antioch, Lusignan Kingdom of Cyprus, Celtic and Olbia. A total of 211 Islamic coins, includind Artuqid of Mardin, Anatolian Seljuk, Ottoman, Abbasid, Ayyubid and anonymous Islamic coins found in this study, were cataloged and documented based on the year of minting using Islamic coin catalogs and numismatic sources related to the subject. The cataloged coins were photographed and turned into plates of their size. The study it is aimed to create a basis for research on Islamic coins and studies to be carried out in our country on similar subjects.
