Abstract (EN)
Every student learning Turkish as a foreign language needs texts suitable for their language level to read. This need can be eliminated by simplifying the works of the master names of Turkish literature or by preparing original texts. There are many works for teaching Turkish to foreigners, but there are very few works to improve reading practice. Students who are faced with reading texts, from basic level, need reading texts which are suitable for their level and age. The aim of this study is to prepare reading texts for A1-A2 students who learn Turkish as a foreign language. While adapting to the level, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages was examined and the achievements of the students were determined and prepared. With this adaptation study, literary works written for native language readers have been used in the field of teaching Turkish to foreigners. In this way, students recognize the authors and their works. In this study, all of Aytül Akal's works were reached, and it was assumed that her book "Kızım, Ben Çocukken…" would be suitable for A1-A2 level students after simplification. The book is adapted to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and is used as a pre-reading activity in order to contribute to reading skills after adaptation; After reading activities, reading comprehension exercises were prepared. While simplifying, the language acquisitions, grammar and vocabulary of A1-A2 level language learners were taken into consideration within the framework of the Teaching of Turkish as a Foreign Language Program developed by the Turkish Maarif Foundation based on the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages".
