Abstract (EN)
Key Words: AZ91, titanium, chrome, metal (die) casting, mechanical properties, corrosionMagnesium is the lightest of all construction metals in. This material as light as plastic material that is also resistant to a metal. High specific strength and specific rigidity, good machinability, castability and weldability known methods makes it an attractive material. In searches of weight savings for automotive and aerospace-aircraft industries, Mg metal with low density in terms of engineering applications stands out as the lightest structural metal. The reduction in vehicle weight with the use of lightweight magnesium alloys to provide fuel economy and gas emissions be reduced as a result of this is that. In the coming years to reach the planned fuel consumption of passenger cars is a challenging target such as 3 litres/100 Km and therefore it approximately a 30% reduction the automobile weighted at is required.Production of magnesium alloys, with a wide variety of processes are performed. These processes, as directly affect produced in the mechanical properties of alloys and micro-structures selection process is fairly important. In this study, Ti, Cr elements have been added to AZ91 magnesium alloy in the ranges between 0,1-0,5 wt. % aiming to develop its casting properties that is used in automotive, aerospace and defence industry. Metal mould casting (permanet mould casting) method of production of alloys and alloying elements are added to investigate the effect of microstructure and mechanical properties. Produced in samples of chemical analysis, hardness test, compression test, tensile test and corrosion test was applied. These experiments, optical microscopy (OM), x-ray analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and EDS analysis were supported by. With the addition of alloying element hardness, tensile strength, compressive strength values and corrosion resistance increased of certain proportions are seen.
