Winter tourism potential in Azerbaijan and an application in Guba-Khachmaz, Sheki-Zagatala winter tourism regions

In recent years in the world tourism sector there has been a shift from traditional types of tourism to alternative types of tourism. One of the types of tourism emerging as results of seasonal decline in the tourism sector is winter tourism. But the region must meet the certain conditions for to build, to realize and to developed winter tourism. The countries with these conditions are aware of the socio-economic benefits of winter tourism and create the necessary infrastructure for winter tourism. In my research, on the potential of winter tourism in Azerbaijan the current status and the importance, the development of winter tourism in the tourist industry in our country has been investigated in terms of what can or should be done in this area. Azerbaijan has great winter tourism potential. Shahdag winter tourism center established in 2012 and Tufandag winter tourism center established in 2014 is one of the most important steps taken taken in this area. But the countrys winter tourism potential should not be limited only with these and at the same time tourism infrastructure, a tourist flow should be created in other regions with winter tourism potential. Because of the intense interest to this type of tourism in Azerbaijan, people used of the winter tourism opportunities of tourism of neighboring countries. In order to measure the current status of winter tourism facilities in Azerbaijan and to learn the level of satisfaction of visitors. I sent a request participants of different winter tourism. The expression of satisfaction in the survey being because of Likert scale type, instead of classic chi-square test the ordinal independence test was applied. The programs were prepared by R program. The main purpose of the research is to improve the winter tourism infrastructure in our country and to investigate and to develop the necessary research work in this regard.
