Abstract (EN)
Having declared its independence in 1991, Azerbaijan expanded its activities at regional and global levels in order to ensure and protect its national interests. The country, which needs close integration to the European arena, has established multilateral mutual relations with the European Union. Azerbaijan's first bilateral relations with the European Union began in the form of economic aid and shaped the form of future economic, political and cultural relations. Azerbaijan is a reliable partner for the energy security of the European Union. Azerbaijan strengthens cooperation with the European Union through energy and transport projects, but avoids close political integration with the EU. This study includes a comprehensive analysis of the legal basis of partnership and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union. ktır
