The role of energy in economic relations between Azerbaijanand Turkey: An assessment on natural gas, oil and pipelines

Azerbaijan and Turkey economic and political unity, which it is always strong and "one nation, two states" definitions are continuing their relationship with the eternal states. Won independence with the collapse of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan has strengthened further and strengthen their links with Turkey. After 2000, the globalization trend has gained momentum and we see that these two countries are reflected in the economic unity. On the one hand the natural reserves of Azerbaijan through Turkey to remove the world market with the request to pay the one hand, Turkey's energy demand has combined these two countries with closer ties. The purpose of this study is to reveal how effective energy is in bilateral economic relations. The economies of the two states are discussed, economic and commercial relations are examined, the effects of energy, especially pipelines, natural gas and oil on the economic relations of countries are discussed. In the study, investigation and evaluation was done by using quantitative research method. Imports, exports, trade volume and balance, investments and revenues were analyzed and interpreted until 2019, which encompasses energy unity in the application section. As a result of the study, it was revealed that pipelines and natural gas had a positive effect on economic relations. Keywords: Azerbaijan and Turkey, Natural Gas, Oil, Pipelines
