Abstract (EN)
Azerbaijan, which has a favorable geographical location and climate, is also rich with ecologically clean alternative energy sources. The use of these resources and the use of the country's natural potential can save considerable fuel consumption and reduce emissions from thermal power plants. Rapid population growth, the development of the economy, including energy-intensive industries, the increase in people's welfare, the increase in demand for home appliances, vehicles also significantly increased the demand for energy carriers. Coal, oil and gas have long been used as main energy carriers in the world and demand has been met from such fuels that are widely used in many countries. Azerbaijan has a great potential in all energy sources currently used in the world. Due to its low cost, environmental cleanliness and inexhaustibility, wind energy is the most profitable among other alternative energy sources.
