Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACTIn this work twelve different azo dyestuffs and three different polymer compounds weresynthesized. Firstly, the product 1 which was formed from the result of the conjunction of diazoniumsalt and 2-hydroxy benzaldehyde, was synthesized as a azo dyestuff. From the reaction of product 1with 6-aminonicotinic acid, 2-aminonicotinic acid, ethyl-6-aminonicotinate, ethyl-2-aminonicotinate and2,6-diisopropyl-4-sulfoaniline, product 2, product 3, product 4, product 5, product 6 which are schiffbases including imine bond were synthesized respectively. Because of the damage risk of iminebond, the reaction of these azo dyestuffs was realized under the atmosphere of nitrogen gas.Nitro groups of product 2, product 3 and product 4 were reduced to amino groups by usingSnCI2.H2O and hydroquinone, then the reduced compounds were reacted with 5-nitro- thiophene-2-carboxaldehyhde and product 10, product 11, product 12 were obtained. In basic solution, salicylaldehyde were polymerized by using air oxygen. Polymerconstructions which including imine bond were synthesized from the reaction of salicylaldehydepolymer with 2-aminonicotinic acid and product 8 and product 9.The construction of these compounds which were obtained in this work were explained byusing spectroscopic methods such as UV-vis, IR and 1H-NMR. The colour of these compounds andthe solubility of these compounds in some solvents were examined.
