Abstract (EN)
In this study, an experimental work has been carried out on heat pipes to investigate the use of waste heat. For this pupose, a heat pipe system consisting of seven heat pipes 12mm in diameter was designed and manufactured. This system uses commercial spirit as the heating fluid. One ends of these pipes were placedd in a prototype chimney while the other ends were installed in a tank measuring 20x30x30 mm. The tank was filled with plain water, number 6 fuel- oil and diesel fuel and the heating effect of the waste gases on the liquid in the tank was investigated quantativery. In addition, the tank was closed and an air flow with 3 m/s speed was effected and the heating of the air was also investigated. The results are analysed and presented in this study.
