This study comprises identification of hydrogeochemical characteristics and certain pollution parameters for the underground waters in the selected study area in Baglica (Etimesgut). The parameters for the pH value, temperature and electrical conductivity of the samples of underground water collected from wells were calculated on site, and their cation and anion analyses have been carried out in the laboratory. Using graphics methods the cross tabulation of the results against the standards and guidelines were generated. The assessment of water chemistry data in the study area led to the conclusion that the dominant hydrochamical facies in the underground waters are sodium bicarbonate type; sodium sulphate water type was found only in one sample. In addition to the standard parameters, quantity analyses for boron and fluoride have also been carried out and a cross comparison between the findings and the standards for drinking and irrigation water was computed. Within the framework of hydrogeological studies, hydrogeological formations in the region have been determined. Comparative study between the geological characteristics of the region and the mineral saturation of the waters were used to interpret which water conduits the water samples came from and to which geology these water conduits belong. While the water samples exhibited aragonite, calcite and dolomite saturation, they were unsaturated with respect to anhydride, gypsum and halide. Facies types and saturation calculations have been studied and a consistency comparison was performed. In conclusion of these results, it can be said that the facies types from the water samples originate from mineral saturations consistent with the geology of the area.
