Turkey Georgia relations

ABSTRACTOur northeastern neighbour Georgia is a small country but she has a vital importancefor Turkey by means of geostrategy. Turkey has restricted relations with Armenia and theonly transportation corridor of Turkey to Central Asia passes through the Georgia. Thiscountry has been served to Turkey?s security as being a buffer zone between RussiaFederation.Here in this research, Georgia and Turkey relations have been analysed through thehistorical process after the date 9 April 1991. In order to clarify the importance of bilateralrelations, also main global and regional countrys? policy about Georgia have been explained.It is expected that the information gained with the conclusion of this research willprovide data for those who work in the field of history and will ensure a contribution for thefollowing works in the field of Georgia.
