Banaz town dialectic

This thesis includes information about Banaz district and villages short history, ethnic structure, geography and language attributes which bounds to Uşak. besides,there is a list of words at the end of the thesis which gives the meanings of words which are not used frequently or have changed through the time. There is some general information about Banaz district at the introduction of this work. Furthermore, foundation of Banaz, the reason why the district was given the name of Banaz, administrative organization and some information about district culture was given in this part. And also some information about the ethnic structure of Banaz was given in this part. Second part of the thesis includes the features of phonology of Banaz dialect which was put forward after the investigation of the texts collected from Banaz district and its villages. This part gives information about the vowels which are used at Banaz district and are different from the written language, their features and the reasons of their appearance in spoken language. At the third part Banaz district was investigated through the examples of styles features. The use of suffixes have been clarified with examples. Besides verbs, time expressions, possessives, adjective and adverbs are presented with examples,as well. finally,the factors belonging to ancient turkish in banaz dialect were presented in this part. 186 In conclusion part, some properties of Banaz dialect was arranged in order. In bibliograph section, the identity of benefited sources was listed. Another part gives us some texts collected from villages of Banaz which is the main source of this thesis. These texts was obtained from some interviews of nearly forty people.
