Social manifestations of religious institutions in Bangladesh

The subject of research is the religious institutions in Bangladesh and their effects on the social level. The large number of religious institutions, whose role is very important in social order and organizations, the high rate of belonging to these institutions, the decisiveness of institutions in social relations in multi-religious and multi-cultural lives, and effects on the borders of dialogue and conflicts constitutes the main problem of the research. First of all, a literature review was conducted and transferred by documentation method for the theoretical framework of institutions, religious institutions and religious institutions in Bangladesh. The social manifestations of institutions in Bangladesh belonging to Islam and other religions have been researched and conveyed by scanning the sources with the documentation method and by examining them with the direct observation method. As a result, it has been determined that an important reason for the continuation of religious, political and economic turmoil despite the religious activities of these institutions is that most of the institutions give priority to institutional-based socio-economic and political interests rather than religious goals. As a matter of fact, in this case, religious activities are largely reduced to a means rather than an end. The fact that it is the only study in Turkish literature on religious institutions in Bangladesh, with the quality of the sources used in the study and the possibility of direct observation on the spot, expresses the originality of the study.
