Analysis of the stress factors in bank employees

The aim of the study is to determine the perceived stress levels of bank employees. At the same time, the sources of stress were also examined. With these main purposes, the perceived stress level and the stress sources were compared according to demographic variables such as; gender, age, marital status, educational status, working extra shifts, relationships with colleagues, smoking experience at work, general health status, and economic satisfaction levels. The sample of the study consists of 300 people are working in banks in the city of Istanbul. As a data collection tool; Personal Information Form, Perceived Stress Scale and Stress Source Scale were used. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 23.00 software. In order to determine whether there is a significant difference between demographic variables, the Mann-Whitney U Test was used for the comparison of two groups, and the Kruskal Wallis Test was used for the comparison of three or more groups. As a result of the research, perceived stress levels of the participants differed in terms of gender, educational status, economic satisfaction levels, relationship with colleagues and general health.
