Abstract (EN)
This master's thesis aims to perform an analysis of flood routing in dams and optimize the flood routing process. Dams play a crucial role in various important purposes such as storing water resources, regulating water flow, generating hydroelectric energy, and controlling floods. However, floods can cause significant damage to dams and lead to adverse consequences. Therefore, flood routing, which involves passing floodwaters through dams to reduce their impacts or diverting them to different areas, is a critical step in flood management. This research seeks to comprehensively examine the existing knowledge on flood routing in dams, evaluate analysis methods, and optimize the process. Flood routing will be investigated through the use of numerical modeling, hydrological and hydraulic analyses, risk assessment, and other relevant methods to assess its effectiveness. The findings of this research aim to provide important recommendations fort he improvement of dam designs and operational processes. Enhancing flood routing methods is a crucial step towards enhancing the hydraulic performance of dams and developing flood management strategies. This thesis investigates the analysis and applicability of flood routing in dams to ensure the more efficient and effective utilization of water resources.
