Özet (EN)
Human papillomavirus infection is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. The relation between HPV infection and cervical cancer is demonstrated. A possible relation between HPV infection and cancer of skin, oral cavity, nasopharynx, larynx, head and neck was shown. To determinate the prevalence of HPV types in patients with cervical and head-neck cancers in our legion by PCR and DNA sequence analysis and to make phylogenetic analysis was aimed in this study. This study is conducted with paraffin blocs of 45 patients identified as head-neck cancer in department of Otorhinolaryngology and cervical swap samples of 77 patients who suggested colposcopy and attended department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of our hospital from January to October 2010. MY09/11 and GP5+/6+ (with Cy5.0) primers were used for detection of HPV in Real Time PCR test using. In conclusion, HPV 16- 52%; HPV 16+11- 4%; HPV 16+6- 1% and non-typing HPV 4% were found in cervix samples. HPV 16- 47%, and non-typing HPV 9.0% were found in patients with head-neck cancer. The investigation of the distribution of HPV genotypes in women with cervical cancer and precancerous lesions in our region is important. Early diagnosis of HPV by using improved technological assays, play a key role to prevent the turn precancerous lesions into invasive cancers. HPV positivity in head and neck cancers, contribute the prognosis of disease. Consequently researching the presence of HPV in larynx lesions is important and researching the positivity of HPV must be added in routine analysis of larynx lesions.
