Abstract (EN)
Constructive Empiricism is a doctrine that Bas van Fraassen defended in The Scientific Image book published in 1980 and that both realists and empirists could not remain indifferent to him after his defense. Constructive Empiricism; science is only intended to give us empirically sufficient theories; and the belief that accepting a theory is only believing empirically sufficient. Bas C. van Fraassen argues that science is based on what is observable and does not aim for an assertion that what is not observable, therefore opposes scientific realism. Because for the constructive empirist; acceptance of a scientific theory is possible only if it has the belief that the theory is experimentally sufficient. The purpose of the constructive empiricist is to distinguish between the purpose of an individual scientist or groups of scientists and focus on the question 'What is the purpose of science?' From this aspect, he; it does not identify science with the purpose of science. He argues that the purpose of science is to offer us experimentally sufficient theories. With this thesis, our aim is to present the philosophical anatomy of the doctrine by analyzing the conceptual basis of constructive empiricism, which is seen as the strongest rival of scientific realism, which dominates the philosophy of science, as logical positivism loses its popularity.
