The relationship between successful school leadership, work motivation, and job security satisfaction: A study on teachers

The aim of this study is to examine the relationships among successful school leadership, job motivation, and job security satisfaction and to determine whether there are significant differences among these variables. A quantitative research design was employed in the study, and data were collected from 248 participants through a survey method. The data were obtained using scales measuring job motivation, job security satisfaction, and perceptions of successful school leadership. The collected data, together with demographic information, were analyzed using a statistical analysis program. The findings of the study indicate that participants' levels of job motivation, job security satisfaction, and leadership perception are generally between moderate and high. The results of the analyses revealed that the levels of job security perception create significant differences in job motivation. It was found that the motivation levels of participants who perceive job security as sufficient or stressful are significantly lower than those who perceive job security as low or very low. In addition, the ways in which participants describe their colleagues and supervisors were found to create significant differences in the perception of successful school leadership. Positive social characteristics such as loyal, responsible, and intelligent increase leadership perception, whereas negative descriptions such as slow, boring, and difficult to satisfy decrease leadership perception. These findings indicate that social relationships and organizational climate within the organization play an important role in leadership perceptions.
