Abstract (EN)
It is very important for the development and continuity of our own music, the works and studies of which take place in Turkish music conservatories which are among the most important institutions training violin artists in our country. There is a need for more studies in which Turkish music and its motifs are used. Considering our handicap on this topic, the necessity of future studies on increasing the number of musical works and introducing new works to Turkish music without affecting their originality emerge as a real issue. This study aims to create various materials (compiled notes and exercises) in order to enable instrumental (Turkish saz) and lyrical works of Turkish Classical Music that are appropriate for Western music to be used in elementary level violinist training in the conservatories. In this study, qualitative research methods such as descriptive research method has been used. It has been concluded that the pieces examined during the research and the works and exercises created to prepare the performer to play the pieces in question, as well as the standing and transition exercises in the first, second, and third positions help the position in question to be improved as they include the first position, that they can be used for consolidation, and that the introduction of classical Western music as an alternative material in violin education can constitute a correct approach. For the performers who can use basic positions such as first, second and third positions in the violin and who have reinforced the basic back use technique, which is essential to be used for performing these works, it can be said that the exercises and adapted Turkish Art Music works are considered suitable for performance and training. Keywords: Elementary Level Violin Education, Western Music, Turkish Music in Violin Education, Works.
