Factors affecting the quality of die casting

Factors influencing product quality in die casting systems are reviewed. The requirement on machine selections on the alloy for use for the die casting is specified and the die casting machineries are introduced. The calculation method by formulas and nommograms of the gates and ventilation systems of die casting forms are explained. The cooling channels and the required cooling water are calculated using heat transfer. Information on features required for the cast steel to resist against die casting is given. Faults that occur in die casting are analyzed and studies are conducted for their elimination.
