Abstract (EN)
Başur Höyük, Southeastern Anatolia Region in Siirt Province, it is an important Northern Mesopotamian settlement with its location in the Upper Tigris Valley. The Late Chalcolithic Period findings recovered from the mound are represented by many phases. The existence of the Local Late Chalcolithic Period 2 (LC 2) pottery repertoire, which is one of these phases, makes this study inevitable. It is mentioned within the framework of the subject and the boundaries of the thesis, the periods of the common geography they shared chronologically, after the definition of the Near East and Mesopotamia geography, the Ubaid Culture is described on behalf of better understanding of the Late Chalcolithic Period. In addition, after this culture spread to the north, it was tried to define the cultural regions that can be perceived in the Post-Ubaid Period; the chronology of Late Chalcolithic Period 1-2 (LC 1-2) and the views of scientists are included. The last part includes the main subject of the thesis. Basur Höyük Local Late Chalcolithic Period 2 (LC 2) pottery is analyzed by comparing with the findings from other settlements of the period.
