Prominent atheistic ideas and criticism in the west (The case of the Four Horsemen)

In recent years, militant atheists who generalize religious dissent or reduce religious feelings and orientations to psychological, sociological, anthropological phenomena, feed on theories that deny the existence of God, ignore divine references to truth, wage war on the idea of the existence of God, ridicule people have raised their voices, and New Age structures have occurred in this style. Of these, the New Atheism, which has become widespread in Western Europe and North America, is currently one of the currents that are opposed to religion. The New Atheism movement has been talking about itself more and more since the early 2000s, especially Christopher Hitchens (d. 2011), is an understanding shaped by the ideas of recent atheists such as Daniel Dennett, Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris. In addition, these four atheists, who were the pioneers of the New Atheism, were popularly called the "Four Horsemen of Atheism dec. The New Atheists, who see religion as an enemy that needs to be eliminated, have used science as an instrument of their ideology by portraying religion and science in a way that is quite different from their true meaning. The idea behind this behavior of the new Atheists is that religion is not only a false and false belief system, but also contains teachings that are extremely dangerous for society and the life of an individual. Therefore, they think that religion should be completely erased from the life of man. In our thesis, information was given about the lives of New Atheists in order not to consider their ideas and claims to the belief in God and religion independently of their personalities and environments. In addition, the criticism of the representatives of this movement towards religion and their thoughts consisting of biased and incomplete information about religion were identified and evaluated.
