For this purpose, a six week teaching program supp orted by harmonic cube material was prepared and applied for 9th and 10th grade students of Ankara Fine Arts High School. In addition, the study measured students' learning approaches related to the course before and after the application. The data collection tools of the study are the Western Music Theory and Practice Achievement Test developed by the researcher and the Semi-Structured Interview Form. In addition, the Learning Approaches Scale developed by Aydıner-Uygun (2018a; b) was used. According to the results; it has been determined that the teaching supported by harmonic cube material in Western music theory and practice courses has high positive effects on the achievement levels of students in the experimental group. It was found that the deep learning approach levels of the students in the experimental group related to the teaching process increased significantly after the application. In contrast, it was found that the superficial learning approach levels of the students in the control group related to the teaching process increased significantly in a negative way.
