Abstract (EN)
The key words : Meaning, semantics, semantic knowledge, meaning events/semantic changes(semantic restriction, semantic extension, semantic change), West Turkish(Turkey Turkish, Azerbaijan Turkish, Gagavuz Turkish, Turkmenistan Turkish). This thesis is prepared to determine the meaning changings in West Turkish and to pay attention to the homophone but different meaning words those might be understood mistaken in connection between these dialectics. Today the subject that is worked in semantic knowledge works more than others is semantic changings. If there is any stenosis, wideness or slide in meaning of a word according to the old form this is subject of semantic changing and this changing is called semantic changings. In this work realized with diachronic semantic knowledge technique about 200 000 words in Turkey Turkish dictionary, Azerbaijan Turkish dictionary, Gagavuz Turkish dictionary, Turkmenistan Turkish dictionary are looked over. 250 samples are chosen because of the words changed are so much and this work has been continued in direction of these words.
