Abstract (EN)
Green energy is becoming increasingly significant in today's globe. Electric automobiles are currently the best alternative for the environment, personal and public transportation, due to air pollution. Batteries are used in electric vehicles, which can be dangerous if they are not used in a safe environment. The goal of this thesis is to create a BMS that can monitor the voltages, currents, and cell balancing of each cell in the battery pack, as well as monitor the pack's temperature. This involves the system's hardware as well as the creation of a sample test component to evaluate the system's functionality. Electric vehicles' batteries must always be kept under control within their safety operational area (SOA). Multiple cells of battery cells are combined to get the desired voltage and capacity. To achieve the high voltage and capacity required for electric cars, a large number of cells are required. In this thesis, we came up with ways on how to monitor each battery cells functionality and we developed an Algorism for checking and detecting of bad cells for replacement in the battery pack and displayed those cells condition on LCD whether they are good or bad to notify the users, the present conditions of each cell for next line of action by the user. This work comprises of four chapters, chapter one includes all theoretical aspects and the literature review of this thesis while chapter two is all about materials and methods used for the design of the BMS of this research including circuit design, PCB and 3D of the BMS and chapter three is findings of the end results obtained in this thesis lastly chapter four result discussion.
