Investigation of antioxidant and antimicrobial effects of some aryl sulfonyl hydrazone compounds

The sulfonyl hydrazones skeleton is an important chemical used in medicinal chemistry. It has a significant bioactive potential such as an antioxidant, antidepressant, anticholinesterase, anticonvulsant, antimicrobial, anticancer, analgesic, antiflammatory. Synthesis and characterization of new aryl sulfonyl hydrazones derived from 4-fluorobenzenesulfonyl have been done previous thesis, and 9 new aryl sulfonyl hydrazones have been obtained. The antioxidant potentials of the compounds were studied by TAS, TOS, and DPPH methods. For their antibacterial activities, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC-29213, Escheira coli ATCC-25922, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC-27853, Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC-700603 standard strains were studied by disk diffusion method by EUCAST criteria.
